Yes! We encourage graduate students to apply. While it is not a hard requirement for all teams, many of our hiring teams are looking for students currently in, or about to graduate from a Masters program.

Great question!

Consultant applicants: Recruiters will begin updating candidates as early as December 15th, 2022 on their application status.

All other applicants: Recruiters will begin updating candidates as early as hiring managers are ready to begin the process.  For most roles this occurs mid-February, but don’t be surprised if you hear from us sooner. Some hiring managers are anxious to fill their roles, and we will do our best to move the process along as quickly as we can, so be sure to get your application as soon as possible.

No need to apply more than once. We encourage you to get a full understanding of each team and select the categories that best align with your experiences, skills, and your passion. Your cover letter is the perfect place to share your interests in detail. Our recruitment team will review your application and determine the available role(s) that best align with your experiences and skills.

3Degrees’ Internship Program is a 12 week program.  We may consider students with less availability, but we cannot consider any students with less than 10 weeks available to participate. The duration of the internship program will vary depending on the role, the assigned project, and your availability. Be sure to list your availability at the top of your cover letter.

We typically require 3 interviews during the hiring process for interns (phone screen + 2 video interviews with the hiring team). An additional interview may be requested by the hiring team and some teams will require you to participate in an exercise.

The interview process can take anywhere from six to eight weeks, starting with the initial interview with a recruiter.

This year’s internship experience will align with how we hire full-time employees.  If you are near any of our offices (San Francisco, Portland, OR, or Portland, ME) we will set you up to work out of our offices for one or more days per week, pending COVID-19 restrictions and requirements set during the internship program. However, if you are not in close proximity to our offices, a remote office/workspace will be considered.  Your remote workspace must be a productive and effective work environment that will allow you to be successful in your project.  What does that mean?  Well, you will be provided a laptop and must have a consistent internet connection that will enable you to participate in meetings via video calls. In addition, your workspace should be a place where you can effectively work without distractions. This program is not open to students who are looking for a nomadic structure (i.e. traveling to several locations during the internship).

Monday, June 12, 2023 is the scheduled start date for the Summer Internship Program.

Unfortunately, not. We understand there may be an interest for candidates to transition into an internship program immediately after the spring semester. At this time, we plan to start all interns on the same day in June.

At this time, the Consulting Internship is for graduate students only.  In particular, our Consulting team is seeking individuals who are near completion of their first year in a graduate program (minimum) who possess relative consulting experience from work or past internship experiences.
